In 2012, the Southwest Challenge was created to impact our community by providing practical help for sick children in southwestern Ontario.
This year, 4 main routes were established. There is the Epic 180 km ride for the advanced cyclist, which loops from London to Woodstock, through Ingersoll and Dorchester and back to London. If 180 km is more than you want to tackle, there is the 110 km Challenge, which piggybacks and includes the best of the Epic 180 km ride. Riders will be bused from London to the 70 km mark for the start of their journey. If you're still up for a challenge but haven't put in the miles the 60 km Challenge ride is the perfect blend of the right distance and challenge. Finally, we added a 25 km Family ride. This ride is for those 12 years of age and older. Riders 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
To cycle the 180, 110 and 60k rides, you must be 16 years of age or older. To ride in the 25k Family ride, you must be 12 years of age and older. If you are under 18, you must be accompanied by an adult.
